The Pioneer Center does not have an official dress code.
Guests have four options for parking, including any available metered spots around the Pioneer Center. These options include:
Washoe County Court House: Entrance is located on Court Street between Virginia and Sierra Street. Parking is free and only available on evenings and weekends.
Club Cal-Neva: The parking garage on 101 N. Center Street is free with casino validation and their Stadium parking garage on 100 N. Center Street is free.
Regus Building: Located at 200 S. Virginia Street. Parking is free and only available on evenings and weekends.

Before the show or during intermission, patrons can enjoy fine wine, champagne, beer, cocktails, soft drinks, and snacks at any of the bar locations. Outside food and beverage is not permitted.
Guests can enjoy many restaurants and bars near the Pioneer Center in downtown Reno including:
Arrive Early, Travel Light: To ensure the safety and security of our theater, the Pioneer Center requests that all patrons arrive as early as possible and bring minimal personal belongings. All bags and persons entering the Pioneer Center are subject to search by trained security personnel. Pioneer Center management reserves the right to refuse any item deemed a potential safety or security risk or with the potential to be a distraction to the event being held.
Plan Ahead, or Leave it at Home: Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited, including firearms and pocket/utility knives. The Pioneer Center prohibits patrons with concealed carry permits from entering the theater with weapons. Anyone found in violation will be asked to secure the weapon inside their vehicle or leave the premises immediately without a refund.
Suitcases, backpacks, duffel bags, or any other items larger than 12" are prohibited. These items may be returned to a vehicle or left at Coat Check in the upper lobby. A visual inspection of the item's contents will occur in the patron's presence prior to the item being left at Coat Check. Any patron who declines to permit their items to be searched may be denied entry or ejected from the Pioneer Center.
Your Safety is Our Priority: Patrons may be denied admission or removed from the premises without compensation should the patron act in a disorderly manner or violate management's rules and regulations. Pioneer Center management reserves the right to change this security policy or implement additional security measures without advance notice. Thank you for your cooperation.
Admission: The Box Office opens 2 hours prior to show times for ticket sales and will call pick-up. All people, regardless of age, must have a ticket to gain admission to an event. The lobbies open 1 hour prior to show times. The auditorium opens for seating approximately 30 minutes prior to show times. No re-entry is permitted.
Babies and Children: Every person who enters the theater, regardless of age, must have a ticket. It is not recommended to bring infants or children under the age of 3 to the theater. Presenting organizations may ask that no children be admitted due to adult program content. The Box Office will be able to provide information regarding the suitability of each program for young audience members. Some events may offer a discounted ticket for students and children. Lap seating is not permitted.
Inclement Weather: If you cannot attend a show due to inclement weather: No refunds / No exchanges. Please refer to the Terms of Use pop-up before you purchase a ticket to any Pioneer Center event.
If a show is cancelled or postponed due to inclement weather: Refunds and/or exchanges will be issued to all patrons. Box Office staff will contact ticket holders by phone and email. Inclement weather cancellations are determined on a case-by-case basis.
Cameras and Recording Devices: Photographing or videotaping Pioneer Center events is strictly prohibited. Cameras, smart phones, and other recording devices may be confiscated.
Cell Phones: Please silence all cell phones before entering the theater. Use of cell phones during Pioneer Center events for any purpose is strictly prohibited.
Late Seating: Late seating policies vary depending on the event, but may include closed-door or open-door seating holds. During a closed-door hold, patrons are not permitted to enter the auditorium but may watch the performance on monitors in the lobbies. During an open-door hold, patrons may enter the auditorium but must remain standing in the back. Ushers will help latecomers to their seats during appropriate pauses in the performance.
Smoking and Vaping: The Pioneer Center is a smoke-free facility. This includes cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vaporizers, and any other smoking or vaping device.
Food and Drink: Outside food and drink are not allowed. Concessions are available for purchase inside the lobbies.
Ticketing Policies: All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. Refunds will only be offered upon cancellation of a performance. If you have questions, please contact the Pioneer Center Box Office at (775) 686-6600 or boxoffice@pioneercenter.com.
ATM: There is one ATM located in our upper lobby next to Coat Check.
Coat Check: Coat check services are available to all patrons free of charge. The coat check counter is located next to the Box Office in the upper lobby. Patrons are encouraged to check bulky coats, large purses, umbrellas, and other items that may be an impediment inside the theater. For safety, coats may not be draped over the balcony railings.
Concessions: A variety of beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), candy, and snacks are available for purchase in the lobbies. No outside food or beverage items are permitted into the Pioneer Center. Depending on the performance, food and beverage items purchased at our concession stands may or may not be allowed in the auditorium - please look for signs in the lobbies. Please unwrap all snacks before the performance starts or during intermissions.
Elevator: The elevator is located in the center of the building for access between the upper and lower lobbies. There is no elevator access to the balcony.
Lost and Found: If you misplace anything while at the Pioneer Center, please check with an usher or the House Manager. If your item cannot be located before you leave the premises, or if you don't know something is missing until later, call the Pioneer Center Administrative Office at (775) 686-6610.
Restrooms: Restrooms are located in the upper and lower lobbies of the Pioneer Center. There are a total of six restroom areas: three for men and four for women. A baby changing table is available in the lower lobby women's restroom. All restrooms are wheelchair accessible.
Water Fountains: Water fountains are located in both the upper and lower lobbies.
The cast and crew involved in each production work hard to give you a great performance. Practicing good theater etiquette demonstrates your appreciation of the show itself. Here are a few tips to get you started:
Arrive early. Latecomers may be subject to a seating hold and may miss part of the performance.
Visit the restrooms before the performance begins.
Please remove large hats that obstruct the view of fellow patrons.
Turn off your cell phone; phone use is distracting to the audience and the performers.
Listen to the pre-show announcements, read the program notes, and be aware of any informational signs posted in the lobbies.
Refrain from making noise with concessions.
Photography and videotaping are prohibited.

Refrain from talking during the performance.
The sound system for each show is provided by the touring company. If you are having trouble hearing, please let an usher know. The sound system may be adjusted or you may be offered an assistive listening device.
Practice proper theater etiquette with children in your party.
At the end of the performance, stay to applaud the performers who have worked so hard to entertain you. Don’t rush for the exits.
